GMS Business Networks (GMSBN)

About the project

This online platform was developed within the context of the establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community in December 2015. The AEC was an important milestone and has the potential to have a profound effect on regional and global value chains (R & GVC’s) and the ways businesses operate in the Mekong countries.

The Community’s vision of an ASEAN single market and production base presents significant opportunities for economic growth and development in the future, both for the Mekong countries and the Republic of Korea. The Mekong region is comprised of five countries, namely Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand.
